A. Enable the Excel Add-InMicrosoft released an Office Security Update in July 2016 to disable, by default, Excel Add-In files downloaded from the Internet and email. There is no security prompt on blocking when user attempt to execute the Excel Add-In. You need to unblock the downloaded Add-In file in order to use it.
Here are the simple 3 steps:
- Right click the Excel Add-In file and select Properties
- Check the "Unblock" box of Security section at the bottom of the General tab
- Press the OK button
Right click the Excel Add-In then click the Properties
Check the "Unblock" checkbox.
Now you can double click the Excel Add-In file to add all its functions to your current Excel session. You may also add the Excel Add-In file to your Excel's Add-ins collection so that all its functions will be automatically available every time you start your Excel session.
B. Trust Publisher/ Enable MacrosAll Excel Add-Ins from WORDz.co are digitally signed with digital certificate.
If your Macro Settings is set at "Disable all macros except digitally signed macros", you will be prompted with Microsoft Excel Security Notice to select "Trust all from publisher", "Enable Macros" or "Disable Macros".
To run the Add-In, select Trust all from publisher or Enable Macros
- Select "Trust all from publisher" to trust digital certificate from WORDz.co. You will not be prompted of the same security notice the next time you run Excel Add-In from WORDz.co.
- Select "Enable Macros" to allow the Add-In to run for current session. You will be prompted of the same security notice again the next time you run Excel Add-In from WORDz.co.
If your Macro Settings is set at "Disable all macros without notification" or "Disable all macros with notification", you will not be able to use any function in Excel Add-In. You need to change your Macro Settings to "Disable all macros except digitally signed macros". Here is a guide on changing Macro Settings.
